Invest in your community:
Support Black-owned businesses, creatives, scholars, and non-profits with your money.
Purchase from their stores, order from their restaurants, buy their literature, listen to their words, listen to their music, invest in their art, share their works on social media and give them full credit - tell your friends to do the same.
We will be posting BIPOC businesses, creatives, and organizations on our Instagram page and encourage you to check in out through the week.
We hope this is a good place to start and welcome input from our Oddbird community. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with suggestions/corrections.
We will be the first to admit that we do not have the answers or know how to do this right, but instead, we look to the leaders of the Black community for guidance, being quick to listen, slow to speak.
We encourage you all to do the work and draw from the BIPOC voices that are leading the way.
With love,
Oddbird team 🌿
