Gorgeous

I'm so thrilled with this robe, which I purchased for my sweetie. I was a little unsure about the sizing, but I followed the size chart to aim for 10" of overlap and it fits him perfectly. The material is gorgeous, soft, and mid-weight; the bold navy and grey striping is very handsome. He uses it as a cover-up around the house, not specifically after bathing, so I can't speak to its absorptive qualities. I'm so thrilled, and am looking forward to purchasing a robe for myself in the future.

Amazing Quality, yet didn't work for me

The ladies at odd bird were super helpful in assisting me pick out a robe. I received the asya and couldn't wait to get the box open. I paid for two day shipping and it took 6 days but odd bird instantly refunded me for the upgraded shipping error, even though it was not their fault at all. That was a relief. This is the second robe we've bought from Oddbird , The FIdan was the first, it was a gift for my wife. Let me say the fidan is incredible, the only reason I didn't get that one was because I run warm and we live in a very warm humid climate. My specific request was a robe that was very breathable and lightweight, but I still wanted it to provide a soft touch and feel cozy. With the help of the odd bird staff I picked the asya, even though it was sold out, the girls were able to secure an XL for me that was the last one. So if something is sold out, its worth reaching out to them because they may have one!

Upon unboxing right away the weight of the ASYA was an issue for me. It was actually heavier than the fidan, we held them up side by side and were shocked how much larger the ASYA was although it was the same size as the fidan. The Asya had stiff shoulders that although would loosen over time was really off-putting, it felt like someone was lurking behind me haha. The robe quality was absolutely amazing and that is five stars for sure. However the ASYA was stiff and Heavy. The colors were even darker than I thought and overall the hang of the robe felt so heavy that the only way I would want to wear it was on cold days on the couch, here on the west coast of Florida cold days are rare and I almost never just sit on the couch all day so the ASYA was not a match for me. As soon as I would get up I wanted the robe off. My wife lives in her Fidan and in the rare moments she doesn't have it on I steal it from her lol. She put on the ASYA and instantly said send it back, its no FIDAN. So....even though I went through every review and tapped the odd bird crew to help me pick out the best robe for my needs, I chose wrong.
The quality of Oddbird shines through in the ASYA its just not a robe that sparked joy for me:) So I sent it back and bought the robe I have been gravitating towards since the beginging which is the YOLCU. The only reason I didn't get that one is because I was concerned it would have too long of a breaking in period and was too textured to feel really soft. When I bought the ASYA I also bought a YOLCU towel to test out the material and pattern. I would recommend that if you're on the fence. Buy a towel and see how it feels to you. If it works by the robe! I'm waiting for my YOLCU to arrive. So excited about it.
