*NEW* Dilek Dress

Love this beautiful dress! Super versatile ties allow me to style the dress multiple ways...my favorite is with the sides tied. I used the sizing tool and it was spot on. I'm 5'3"...between 125-130 lbs...athletic build and the size Small is perfect. I've got a couple other items (wrap skirt and Divane jumpsuit) that I hemmed for my shorter stature...but I actually like this dress at the length it was made...a little flowy and fun. It's beautifully made...Great French seams and the pockets are thoughtfully sewn so that they're functional but they also lay flat...no added bulk! As one other reviewer mentioned...it's a bit sheer so I wear lightweight bike shorts length under-garment and that works nicely.

I love the style and the various ways to tie it at the waist. It is a lightweight kind of gauzy fabric that could be layered to wear all year round even in winter. I did get sent a dress that had a wrinkle on the V neck that I just could not get out causing noticeable gaping, and Oddbird kindly sent me a replacement via a free exchange that is perfect. I am only putting 4 stars instead of 5 because in advertising it’s really hard to tell that the dress is kind of see-through, even in black. I need it to be very versatile to use for a work thing too so I had to buy a black cotton slip skirt to hide the outline of my legs in certain light. It doesn’t seem to change the shape of the dress. Also, I am usually a L or XL in dresses, pear-shaped 36C, and I fortunately followed the step by step guide they provided. It said 1X. Hm, well, that was correct! I imagine that in an XL I *might* have to worry about a couple of buttons gaping. The 1X cinches in without being overly billowy on the sides. The length is nice too. I hope they keep making this in the dark blue and bright blue as someday I would like to buy them as well!

I'm a 40 DD to a DDD, the dress fits snug around the breasts making the buttons fight for their lives. The rest of the fit is fine, but since you can adjust with the ties, I would advise a size up if you are boobalicious. I ordered the 2X. I won't order a 3X for pride reasons, that number is off putting to me and also an odd number, so I'll just let the girls gap, and give whomever is standing or sitting to my left, a show. Love the dress though, it's giving a 1940s desert grandma vibe. In a good way. If that makes sense.
