A year in the works, intricately sketched, tweaked, mood-boarded, tested, and sampled too many times to count, we are so thrilled to welcome our Mosaic Blanket, Oddbird's tribute to Türkiye's rich handcrafted history.

Born from a 6-year love affair with the beloved Ottoman Blanket, our newest addition is everything you loved (and collected!) in our staple Oddbird piece... but dare we say... now perfected?! 

Inspired by the ancient Iznik tile-work that meticulously canvases the historic mosques of Turkiye, our Mosaic Blanket features a modern interpretation of a traditional patchwork design, paying homage to Turkiye's long and illustrious history of this remarkable art form while honoring the boldness you loved in our original Ottoman!

Crafted ethically and sustainably, using the beloved weaving technique that made our Ottoman famous, our newest Oddbird layer checks every box we envisioned during the redesign.

Boasting a stunning weight akin to a light Kilim rug and a luxurious silk-like hand feel, this multifunctional heirloom layer is not only completely machine washable, perfect for both outdoor picnics and adding a touch of luxury to your home, but is also now offered in an enormous standard size!

Ethically-made in small batches and handwoven from a heavy-weight cotton blend on century-old shuttle looms in historic, Turkey. With a weight similar to a light Kilim rug, these blankets are completely machine washable, sturdy enough to take outdoors on family picnics yet are luxurious enough for use around the home to function as an eye-catching bedding layer or as a pop-of color in any living room.

Beautiful blanket

Love the color, pattern, and quality of this blanket. Gave it four stars because the length is a little shorter than a King sized bed, and so it is one star less than perfect,

Beautiful but Incorrect Sizing

I received my blanket last week. It’s beautiful but not standard King bedding size. This blanket measures 102” x 75” (260cm x 190cm). Standard King bedding is 110” x 96” so vastly different in how it looks on the bed. It’s still a very nice blanket and I will use on the Queen guest bed. Just sharing my experience.

Beautiful Blanket

This blanket is very well made, and is a comfortable weight. The color (perfect neutral) was true to the pictures. While the king size blanket fits my king-sized bed, the blanket isn't long enough to tuck in at the foot of the bed. I layer this blanket on my bed, so tucking it in isn't a big deal, just an observation. I would (and probably will) buy this blanket again. We loved how it was packaged and how it smelled when it arrived. Overall, this blanket is an example of beautiful and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Great blanket, but not quite as expected

It’s a great blanket- very well made and the pattern is lovely. I will say that the color is more of a muted brownish red than it appears (at least to me) in the photos online. Of course it can be hard to get a perfect representation of color sometimes, but I would say the color is much less of a saturated brick red than I was expecting. As for fitting a king bed, it does technically cover the bed, but just barely- it doesn’t drape over the sides. To be fair, the dimensions are provided in the description so I knew that would be the case, but I would not describe this a blanket that fits a king bed. All that said, I still like the blanket very much!
