Rüya Tunic - Olive

Well made, great color, lovely soft, mid-/light-weight fabric; dress is appropriately priced for those qualities. However not flattering if you aren’t a slender rectangle or hour-glass in shape (plus size or not). It’s a dress to create a waist or “snatch” the one you already have. If your body doesn’t fall into those two categories, the most flattering look is at kaftan mode which defeats the purpose of the convertibility.

I would recommend taking garment measurements from a non-terry robe or an oversized tee and simulate the belting configurations to get your sizing. The amount of draping and gathered fabric will also make or break the look. Note, if you are short, you will probably need to get it hemmed and raise the slit to maintain the look; at 5’ 2” with wedges and clogs, the hem it didn’t quite land where it needed to be. I would say take advantage of the alteration service offered only if you are confident this dress is perfect.

I did think the belt could have been 6-8 in longer as it did feel once tied, the loops and tails didn’t feel long enough to just casually hang especially if you lean towards the medium of a S/M size.

Overall, the dress is great in style and quality but not for my body type.
