These stunning, heavy-weight Turkish towels are made from locally-sourced Turkish Cotton and handwoven on traditional 100-year-old shuttle looms. Sustainably made in small batches, these artisanally-crafted towels release their beautiful texture and absorbency once laundered, becoming softer and more absorbent with every wash.

We believe in buying less and using more, with our Turkish towels being the greatest representation of this Oddbird pillar. Our Turkish towels are not only designed to be a functional bath/poolside towel but are also the perfect breastfeeding cover, sarong over swimwear, tablecloth, beautiful couch throw, on-the-go picnic blanket and/or shawl.

Constructed of all-natural fibers and 35% more economical to wash and dry than your standard towel, our hypoallergenic towels are made to last a lifetime, only getting better with age.

Inspired by our wildly popular Dalga Textile collection, the heavy-weight Taner collection is our homage to the perfect thick, soft white towel. Featuring a textured zig-zag weave that gives this textile the ideal gentle abrasion to wick moisture off the body, our Taner is not only plush and silky to the touch but also porous and breathable to transition through the seasons with you. From use as a light blanket to a luxurious bath towel, this collection is THE sustainable alternative to the standard terry towel. 

Please note: All of our handwoven textiles are washed in a traditional Turkish soap right off the loom, removing any natural allergens from the weaving process and leaving behind our signature Oddbird scent. It’s a warm, grounding aroma that’s become part of who we are for a decade. That said, if you’re scent-sensitive, a gentle soak in a baking soda and vinegar bath for a few hours, followed by a wash and delicate dry, will remove the fragrance and kick off the breaking-in process, bringing your OB towel and/or robe closer to peak softness and absorbency.
